No I did not have to remove the pipes, I just compressed the suspension to get clearance. Once I figured out how all the brackets went and which one was left/right, the install was pretty straightforward. You have to remove the axle adjuster nuts to mount the rear brackets. That's about as complex as it gets.

i love the setup you have at the rear end, and those axle covers are plain awesome! did you have to take the pipes off the right hand side to install? also i saw in the review you mentioned there was no install instructions, were they relatively easy to install?
